'MAKING A FACE'
A masterclass in Beadwork
with Marcus Amerman (Choctaw)

Marcus Amerman is the innovator of photo-realism in beadwork. This exceptional workshop is a once in a life-time opportunity to learn from an artist at the forefront of the Native American art world, whose beadwork is featured in several prominent museum collections.
Marcus will teach a one-day intensive course guiding participants in the fundamentals of creating beadwork based on photographs.

Students will craft an oval pendant or brooch of a human face, immortalising a personal hero, an icon, or a loved one through a time honoured technIque that still thrives at the heart of Indian cultures. Students are asked to bring a high contrast photograph, preferably black and white, of a face they would like to render in beadwork.

Monday 11th June, 10.am - 5pm

The class will be held at Heart Space Studios, 4 Harcourt Road, Bristol BS6 7RG (opposite RAINMAKER)
The cost of this full day event, including materials and lunch is £95.
