'MAKING A FACE'
A masterclass in Beadwork with Marcus Amerman (Choctaw) Marcus Amerman is the innovator of photo-realism in beadwork. This exceptional workshop is a once in a life-time opportunity to learn from an artist at the forefront of the Native American art world, whose beadwork is featured in several prominent museum collections. Students will craft an oval pendant or brooch of a human face, immortalising a personal hero, an icon, or a loved one through a time honoured technIque that still thrives at the heart of Indian cultures. Students are asked to bring a high contrast photograph, preferably black and white, of a face they would like to render in beadwork. Monday 11th June, 10.am - 5pm The class will be held at Heart Space Studios, 4 Harcourt Road, Bristol BS6 7RG (opposite RAINMAKER)
