TONY ABEYTA creates timeless art of universal beauty and power. Combining vision
and intuition with colour and texture, he encompasses many styles and mediums from figurative charcoal murals and oil landscapes to printmaking and abstract mixed-media works. His inspirations embrace the myths and spiritual
beliefs of the Navajo, the power of the Northern New Mexico landscape and
the cultural evolution of the American Southwest.
Tony Abeyta was born in 1965 in Gallup, New Mexico. From an early age he
won scholarships to study in America's
leading art schools, including The Art Institute of Chicago, The Maryland
