Born in Vallejo California in 1972, Karma Henry is a tribal member of the Fort Independence Community of Paiute Indians on the Fort Independence Reservation in the beautiful Owens Valley of Eastern California. She served as vice-chairman of the tribe from 2016-2018. Henry has a BA in Painting and American Indian studies from California State University and an MA from Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles CA. Karma Henry belongs to the Great Basin Native Arts group, founded to provide exposure to smaller native communities.
