This bold necklace boasts a fabulous pendant of turquoise mosaic on shell strung into a necklace of beads hand cut from Arizona turquoise and black jet. The vibrant and beautifully inlaid turquoise mosaic shell is set with light reflecting mother of pearl and measures 53mm. The necklace is exquisitely designed and crafted by Stephanie and Tanner Medina. It is finished with sterling silver cones and a chain fastening for adjustable length – maximum length 53cm.
The gifted designers and makers of this splendid turquoise mosaic necklace are mother and son Stephanie and Tanner Medina from the Kewa Pueblo tribe. Kewa Pueblo the largest of the Pueblo tribes and is also known by the Spanish name of Santo Domingo Pueblo. The village is situated between Albuquerque and Santa Fe in northern New Mexico, USA. Stephanie and Tanner sign their inlay work with a tiny dot of blue turquoise on the back or on the side, as on this turquoise mosaic necklace.
Stephanie Medina is the youngest daughter of the late Rose Medina and the sister of award winning silversmith Jennifer Medina.
