Turquoise Mosaic Pendant
Square turquoise mosaic pendant hand crafted by Dana Chavez of the Kewa Pueblo tribe in northern New Mexico, USA. This unique piece of jewellery consists of hand cut and polished tiles of Kingman Arizona turquoise, black jet, white clam shell, apple coral and lime green serpentine, all seamlessly inlaid and set in sterling silver to create an eye-catching design. The square pendant measures 2cm x 2cm (3.4cm including bail) and hangs on a 40cm sterling silver chain.
Dana Chavez is the mother of two boys and and two girls. She is the youngest daughter of jewellers Harvey and Janie Chavez. Three generations of the Chavez family have been making jewellery for Rainmaker Gallery for almost thirty years. We are honoured to bring you the beautiful work of this talented family.
