This vintage ring is in good condition. It was originally purchased from the maker by an academic collector in the 1970’s.

Amy Quandelacy (Wesley) was born in 1953 on the Zuni reservation. She began making jewelry in 1976 at the age of 23. She is very well known for her hummingbird and Yei inlay designs and comes from a family of artists. Amy works with high quality stones and she is a multiple award-winning artist.
For this ring, Amy combines sterling silver with Mediterranean coral stones.
The hummingbird, in Zuni culture, is believed to be the messenger of joy and beauty. Nine Mediterranean coral stones are inlaid and form the quintessential hummingbird design for which Amy is famous. The stones are surrounded by sterling silver and the actual hummingbird is set off by a deep channel.
