Mosaic & turquoise earrings by Dana Chavez
These beautiful and unique earrings are designed and handmade by Dana Chavez of the Kewa Pueblo tribe. They combine two traditional southwest jewellery styles, turquoise mosaic and simple polished slab earrings. The colourful mosaic stud has hand cut tiles of deep blue lapis lazuli, apple coral, vibrant green serpentine and Kingman Arizona turquoise set in sterling silver. The elegant ‘slab’ drop is cut and polished Kingman turquoise embellished with sterling silver and copper water symbols. The earrings measure 63mm in length.
Dana Chavez is the youngest daughter of Harvey and Janie Chavez. The Chavez family have been making jewellery for Rainmaker Gallery for over twenty five years. We are honoured to bring you the beautiful work of this talented family.
